Qualifications: MBBS (QLD) FRCOG, FRANZCOG
Dr John Chenoweth obtained his Obstetric and Gynaecology specialist qualifications in 1984. He undertook part of his specialist training in the UK where he received the Gold Medal for his membership examination.
He went on to conduct a very busy private obstetric and gynaecology practice before joining the Wesley Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Surgery Unit in 2000. Dr Chenoweth became Deputy Medical Director of the Wesley IVF unit and currently holds the same position within the Wesley Monash IVF unit.
EDUCATION
John has a strong commitment to the training of our doctors of the future and is actively involved in the Medical Student teaching program run at the Wesley Monash IVF unit.
He also has a special interest in medical ethics and how this applies to the management of the infertile couple.
EXPERTISE
His areas of expertise include endoscopic and laser surgery, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome and male infertility.
Although working extensively in reproductive medicine and infertility he also provides a comprehensive service in all aspects of general gynaecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery.
